Fixed orthodontic appliances

Dental braces are fixed orthodontic devices designed to align teeth with precision. While patients can eat normally, they should avoid sticky foods, hard candy, gum, and carbonated drinks. For those in contact sports, special gum shields may be required to protect teeth during treatment. Braces ensure long-lasting, healthy smiles.

Braces consist of brackets, wires, and bands that gradually move teeth into proper position. Regular monthly adjustments are required, with treatment averaging 6 months. Both metal and crystal braces are offered—metal being more affordable, while crystal provides a more aesthetic option.

Fixed Expansion Devices

Crowding occurs when teeth overlap or are irregular, ranging from mild to severe, sometimes causing protrusion. Unlike conventional clinics that often remove teeth, we avoid extractions in 99% of cases. Instead, we use fixed expansion devices to create space, followed by sectional or full braces for proper alignment.

Removable Orthodontic Appliances

Palatal expander:
This appliance is designed to make the arch of the upper jaw wider. It consists of a plastic plate with screws that is placed on the palate, or roof of the mouth. The screws put pressure on the joints in the bones, forcing them outward. This expands the size of the area in the roof of mouth.

Retainers:
These are used after treatment to stop the teeth from moving back to their original positions. If modified, they may also be used to stop children from sucking their thumbs.
